Our story

A small team with a long track record

CMA Video was founded by Mitch in Birmingham in 2000. Much of the business grew through word of mouth, with clients recommending us and returning with new projects.

We've deliberately stayed small. You deal directly with the people making your video, from the first conversation through to the final edit.

Mitch leads our productions, Nathan handles editing and digital, and when a project needs a larger crew or specialist skills, we bring in trusted people we've worked with for years.

That gives us the flexibility to take on productions of different sizes while keeping the personal approach our clients value.

A few things haven't changed since 2000

Clarity before cameras

We start by understanding your audience and what the video needs to achieve. Then we work out the best way to make it happen.

Make people comfortable

Most people we film aren't actors. We create a relaxed environment that helps them forget about the camera and speak naturally.

Keep things straightforward

You'll know what's happening and where your project stands. You deal with the same people from the initial brief through to the final edit.

Make video with a purpose

Looking good matters, but it isn't the goal. Your video needs to explain, persuade, train, raise awareness or build trust.

A lot has changed but our fundamentals haven't

The cameras have changed. The platforms have changed. The ways businesses use video have changed completely.

But making a good film still comes down to understanding the audience, telling the story clearly and knowing what you want the video to achieve.
