Social Media Video Campaign For Sea Life Centre

Social Media Video Campaign For Sea Life Centre

Children’s TV star, Mister Maker is the latest subject of another one of our social media video projects.  Working with the Sea Life in Manchester, Mister Maker launched his arts and crafts activity sessions which will take place during May half term at all of the Sea Life centres across the UK.

The video features the kids TV star demonstrating some of his creations and things he’s made in and around the attractions at the Manchester centre.  The online promotional video is being used across the Mister Maker website as well as the Sea Life website to promote his series of videos demonstrating how to make a range of arty creations including a paper plate stingray to a shark made out of foil and tissue.

“Mister Maker is a naturally engaging character who just makes arts and crafts easy and fun for every child, whether they have a flair for art or not.The way he introduces each project will also help our younger visitors learn more about the particular sea creatures they will be making, which we hope will encourage many to go on and learn more” said Jamie Turner, Head of Marketing UK Merlin Entertainments.

The social media promotion for Mister Maker comes after similar successful marketing campaigns from Merlin for the arrival of a new batch of penguins at the Sea Life Centre in Birmingham as well as a video for the re-opening of York Dungeon following a flood last year.

“Our clients are finding that targeted, specific videos for use on social media channels are working well for them as they seek to engage, entertain and inform their target audience on key events and news.  The fact that these videos can also be targeted directly to the right audience through a platform like Facebook or YouTube advertising makes them not only very efficient from a cost perspective but also very specific in terms of getting the video to the right audience,” said CMA Video marketing manager, Adam Snelleksz.

Social Media Video Campaigns On The Increase

Sea Life have promoted the video across Facebook and Twitter with high numbers of views and audience interaction.  The nature of the videos from the content to the style lends itself to a successful social media video campaign.  With Facebook now rivalling YouTube for video exposure and viewing figures, the use of a well constructed and targeted video can help a brand gain huge levels of exposure and help to get your audience on board with your marketing messages.  This video has been published on Facebook and so far has amassed over 1500 view within the first 24 hours of it being posted.  For more information on creating a social media video, contact us on 0121 551 2079 or email us here.
