A new chapter for CMA Video began this month as we moved into our new in the Custard Factory in Digbeth in Birmingham.  The move sees all production and business operations taking place in the city centre location, giving easier access to not just the local projects but also to travel around the country.  For video production in Birmingham, we now have an accessible site where we can enjoy all of the benefits that The Custard Factory and the wider Digbeth area has to offer.

Located in the Green House area of the Custard Factory facility, our new office is open for visitors and client meetings and on a sunny day we can even host guests on the balcony.  The editing will all take place in the new office and we are also looking forward to meeting with and possibly collaborating with the many other businesses located in building.  We have already familiarised ourselves with the likes of coffee shop, Kanteen and pizza restaurant, Baked in Brick while also visited the Old Crown, just over the road which is the oldest pub in Birmingham.

After moving in and setting up the editing suite in the new office, director of CMA Video, Mitch Remes said:

“We are really excited to be moving into our new home at The Custard Factory.  Being located in the heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter means that we can get inspiration from the other businesses and the creative surroundings.  From an accessibility point of view it also means that we can get easy access to pretty much anywhere in the area, let alone the wider region.  In terms of the future of CMA Video, it’s a great new chapter as the business grows and goes from strength to strength.  We’ve been a key part of video production in Birmingham and the West Midlands area for more than 20 years and this move will mean that we remain part of the city’s creative fabric.”

Historically, the Custard Factory was exactly what it says on the tin.  The home of Bird’s Custard in the city, the building was built in 1906 and remained as a factory that made custard until 1964 when Bird’s moved production to Banbury.  The current format of the units and buildings began in 1992 and has grown to the facility that it is today.  Seen as a creative hub there are many media, marketing and design companies located in the building.
