The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) were looking for a video production agency to create a series of educational videos for their learning programme for schools. The videos are to be used as aids in lessons for teachers to enable students to learn about their local environment and wildlife.
Filmed over a few days in the Sandwell Valley area of Greater Birmingham, our production team worked with the RSPB team to plan the shoot and the scenes and create a storyboard in preparation for filming.
Whilst the main remit is around birds for the RSPB, the learning videos are also about the local environment and how the local wildlife live and thrive there.
The educational videos comprise shots of the local scenery along with RSPB staff talking to camera giving assistance and instructions to the viewers as they work through the tasks.
The videos will be distributed to schools and also feature games and activities that anyone can play in the environment. They are designed to get people out and about in their local area and enjoy what’s on their doorstep.
Having worked with many academic institutions on their educational videos, our team were familiar with this kind of format and were able to advise on style and even content as well as the best way to present the information.
