The Family Care Trust, a Solihull based charity, commissioned CMA Video to film at their Newlands Bishop Farm facility and create a series of promotional videos showcasing the organisation and the work that they do.
Our team sat down with the Family Care Trust and looked at their aims and objectives and how would be the best way to present the organisation with video. Initially they wanted a promotional video to show on the Family Care Trust website as well as something to use in presentations but our pre-production team instead suggested not one but three shorter videos which focus on different areas of the support and services they offer.
The focus of the three videos was based on firstly an overview video describing what the Family Care Trust, secondly a feature on the Newlands Bishop Farm facility and thirdly, an overview of the day care and community support services that the Trust offers. The filming took place at the Newlands Bishop Farm facility in Catherine-de-Barnes in Solihull – a working farm that provides employment, education and support services for the various members of the Family Care Trust community.
The project workers are involved in everything from woodworking to caring for the animals as well as growing crops and even producing the Farm’s own apple juice in the Farm’s press. In addition we also filmed a group of elderly people who arrived at the indoor facilities at the farm for day care support.
Each of the videos will focus on a specific area that the organisation works in and not only profiles the work that takes place but also includes specific call to action that the charity is looking for – ranging from financial donations to requests for volunteers and corporate bookings from businesses looking to get involved in the local community through their corporate social responsibility programmes.
We interviewed key stakeholders at the farm including Chief Executive, Phil Carpenter and farm manager Daniel Adams as well as some of the project workers who have benefitted from employment at the farm and the services that are on offer.
The Family Care Trust
CMA Video was first introduced to the Family Care Trust through Solihull Chamber of Commerce and the organisation will be the Chamber’s official charity for 2016. We have produced these videos for the launch of the charity’s association with the Chamber which will be at the Chamber AGM in March. The videos will then be shown for the first time at a presentation by Phil Carpenter to Chamber members.
