CMA Video has donated camera equipment to Balsall Common Primary School to help and encourage budding filmmakers and photographers at the school’s photography club.
The Canon 600D SLR camera was a piece of equipment that was no longer used by our production crew and we were delighted to give it to the school rather than it sit gathering dust in the corner of the studio. The camera has been used on many of our projects in recent years but with the purchase of new cameras and equipment, its been used less and less this year.
After working with Balsall Common Primary School over the last two years, it seemed like a good fit for both us and the school to donate the camera.
Kieran Prescott, Head of IT and Photography Club Organiser, said “The camera costs £799 new and is something they would never be able to buy themselves so this was a really generous offer. The camera will allow club members and pupils to take high resolution, professional quality pictures and video’s that they can then manipulate for their Art Projects”
Adam Snelleksz, marketing manager at CMA Video said, “We are delighted to be able to give this camera to Balsall Common Primary School Photography Club, it’s great to see equipment that we no longer use getting a new lease of life. Hopefully the children will get a lot of use from the camera and it may just inspire the next generation of photographers and videographers.”
CMA Video’s work with Balsall Common Primary School goes back to 2013 when we first started editing the school plays at Christmas to enable the school to sell the productions on DVD to parents. We have also arranged for a donation to the school for every DVD sold which has raised even more money for the school funds.
