We undertook a project recently with Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET) to film the range of sports that are on offer at college with a remit to provide an overview video for their end of year awards. The extensive sport filming covered several of the college’s campuses and captured a variety of sports from hockey and basketball to netball, football and athletics.
While the sport filming focussed on the variety of sports on offer, our edit was all about capturing the essence of sport at BMET and producing a video that takes sport filming to a level beyond the obvious. With the music by Woodkid – ‘Run boy, run’ the video takes on an epic feel showcasing the students, the sports and the passion behind the athletes.
The sport filming itself took place over a period of three weeks and featured students from some of the successful sports teams that the college runs. This shortened video showcases the actual sports but a longer version was used for the college’s awards evening and featured more of the sportsmen and women who were nominated for awards and in attendance on the night.
The video has already attracted interest from other sporting institutions who are looking to present their club or organisation in a similar way.
