Our production team spent the day with Birmingham Law Society filming at locations across Birmingham for a promo video that they are looking to use at their annual end of year dinner. Our brief was to film different stakeholders involved in the Law Society to get different perspectives on what the organisation is and means to different people.
Part of the reason for producing the promo video was to change the perception of Birmingham Law Society as a stuffy organisation that only deals with legal situations and is just for solicitors and the legal community. We worked with them to look at some of the key messages that they wanted to convey and who/how these could be communicated.
Some of the areas that they wanted to promote were the ‘extra curricular’ activities that members are involved in, ranging from the choir to the quiz nights and even ‘It’s a knockout’ competitions that they hold. A key message was also to show the opportunities that being a member presents, we discovered that the choir had been given the opportunity to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, someone had been asked to present to a House of Commons select committee at Parliament and much more. In addition, there are number of individuals and organisations that benefit from being connected to the Law Society and the promo video also needed to show the charity work that the society does as well as the assistance and advice that they provide to the likes of students at the local universities, the citizens advice bureau and more.
With this in mind we selected certain individuals who could talk about how the Law Society had helped them and what the benefits had been. There were representatives from charities, outside organisations and people from within the legal community in Birmingham to convey these messages.
Ultimately the promo video will be shown at the annual dinner but it will also be used to attract new potential members who may have an incorrect idea of what the society is and, as a result, may make them consider joining.
The filming with Birmingham Law Society represented another video production that we have been involved in with them after following them for a year and recording all their activities to celebrate their bicentenary as well as filming their AGM and other activities over the last few years.
After a jam packed day of filming with Adam and Rob from @CMA_Video I finally got to say ‘THAT’S A WRAP’ 🎬🎬Thanks to all of my colleagues from @BhamLawSociety for telling us all the reasons why our society is so great! And to @ACSLLP @stphilips & @UniversityofLaw for hosting us! pic.twitter.com/zNtYOjsYAW

We work with organisations like this not only on their video production requirements but also on video strategy and distribution too, to ensure that their marketing strategy is fully co-ordinated with what they are producing from a video content point of view. If this is something that is required for your organisation, contact us to discuss your requirements.
