This year, we are celebrating 25 years of helping businesses tell their stories. Reaching 25 years means more than hitting a milestone. It means we have had the privilege of telling hundreds of stories, capturing ideas and emotions, and helping people get their message across in a way that matters.
A lot has changed over the years. The technology, the platforms and the expectations have all moved on. But our focus has stayed the same. We believe great stories make a difference. They connect people, build trust and move ideas forward.
Where it all began
We started as a small creative agency in Birmingham, offering a mix of media services. Back then, we were called Collective Media Agency, founded by brothers David and Mitchell Remes. David has since moved on and is now working as a Digital Content Manager for a major organisation in Birmingham, but the foundations they built together are still part of who we are today.
From the start, this was a business with strong family roots, and we have kept that philosophy at the forefront of everything we do. We want our team and clients to feel like they are part of something collaborative, personal and supportive.
As the demand for video grew, we focused our energy on doing it well. It was Adam Snelleksz who first suggested we focus entirely on video, and include it in the name. That moment sparked a clear shift. CMA Video became a dedicated video production company, that listens, understands and makes video content that feels true to the people behind it.
What we have faced along the way
Like many businesses, we have seen our fair share of challenges. More competition, more content, and a faster-moving industry. The rise of smartphones and affordable cameras has made video more accessible, but also raised questions about when professional production is needed. These changes pushed us to focus on quality, strategy and the value of getting it right the first time.
The pandemic brought its own pressures. Projects paused. Clients held back. We had to adapt quickly, offering new ways to support communication. Through all of it, we stayed focused on what we do best. Understanding what clients need to say, and helping them say it clearly and creatively.
Looking forward
We are proud of how far we have come, but we are not finished. The way people use video is still evolving, and we are evolving with it.
Audiences are looking for more meaning, more clarity and more connection. We are building the tools and the team to meet those expectations. Our team is also built to scale when needed thanks to some trusted partners and freelancers, while still offering the hands-on approach we are known for.
We care about the message, not just the format, about people not just corporate tropes, about outcomes, not just outputs.
