social media videoKings College Saint Michaels, an international school for students around the world recently commissioned us to create a social media video to promote the summer school for the next intake.  The Tenbury Wells based school contacted us to work with them on the entire video project starting with the creative development of the video through to the filming and post production.

Firstly we looked at the aims and objectives of the social media video for the college and previous videos that had been created and looked at how they could be improved upon and the best way to achieve the desired outcomes for the college.  After initial brainstorming by our creative team and discussions with the marketing team at the college, it was felt that a social media video that demonstrated the experiences that a student could enjoy, emphasising the more unusual or exciting elements of the summer school experience, was required to communicate the key messages.  Once the production had been storyboarded our production crew set about filming the required scenes.

Over two days we filmed the various activities and capturing the fun that students have at the summer school.  This ranged from sporting events to cultural activities along with an excursion to London.  We also included aerial filming with a drone to capture the size and scope of the college’s facilities.  Post production saw us add in graphical elements to further communicate the key messages.  Working with the marketing team, our editors consulted on music and the pace of the video to make sure that it conveyed the right messages in the right style.

The video has now been distributed by the college’s social media video channels for use as a promotional tool for the selling agents across the world.  There is a focus on the USA, Asia and Europe to attract students to the site during the summer moths with Facebook in particular serving as an effective channel.

The client and the overall project was very similar to the marketing video we created for Project International which was another international school which targeted overseas students to spend their summers in the UK.   Our creative and production teams are working on more social media video projects across a variety of industries.  If you are looking at creating a social media video or a corporate video for your business contact us now on 0121 260 6502 or info@cmavideo.co.uk
